باب من روى عن ابن مسعود أنه لم يكن مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليلة الجن
Chapter: Those who reported that Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) was not with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Night of the Jinn
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9945 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I was
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُقَدَّمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا عَمِّي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ بِلَالًا يُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، ثُمَّ أَنْصَرِفَ إِلَى قَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ النِّدَاءَ فَلَا يُجِيبُونَ فَأَحْرِقَ عَلَيْهِمْ بُيُوتَهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was about to order Bilal to establish the prayer, then go to people who hear the call (adhan) but do not respond, and burn their houses down upon them."
