باب من ذكر عن عبد الله بن مسعود أنه كان مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليلة الجن
Chapter: Those who reported that Abdullah bin Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Night of the Jinn
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9925 — he helped the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّهُ وَضَّأَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَبِيذٍ، فَتَوَضَّأَ وَقَالَ: «شَرَابٌ طَهُورٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he helped the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) perform ablution with nabidh (water in which dates were steeped), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and said: "It is a purifying drink."
