Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9435 — Sayyiduna Abdullah said: The women

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «لُعِنَ الْمُتَنَمِّصَاتُ، وَالْمُتَفَلِّجَاتُ، وَالْمُتَوَشِّمَاتُ» ، أَلَا أَلْعَنُ مَنْ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ: أَظُنُّهُ فِي أَهْلِكَ، قَالَ: «اذْهَبِي فَانْظُرِي» ، فَذَهَبَتْ ثُمَّ جَاءَتْ فَقَالَتْ: مَا رَأَيْتُ فِيهِنَّ شَيْئًا وَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ فِي الْمُصْحَفِ، فَقَالَ لَهَا عَبْدُ اللهِ: «بَلَى قَالَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Alqamah narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The women who pluck their hair, the women who have gaps made between their teeth, and the women who tattoo have been cursed. So shall I not curse the one whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed?" Then a woman of Banu Asad said to him: I think this (practice) is found in your own household too. He said: "Go and look." She went, then came back and said: I did not see anything among them, and I did not find this in the Qur'an either. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to her: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said it."
