A maternal brother of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who was from Banu Daws, said: I saw in a dream that I met a group of Jews; I questioned them and they questioned me. I said: "You would be a fine people were it not that you say Uzayr is the son of Allah." They said: "And you too, you would be a fine people were it not that you say, 'Whatever Allah wills and Muhammad wills.'" Then I met the same number of Christians; I questioned them and they questioned me. I said: "You would be a fine people were it not that you say the Messiah is the son of Allah." They said: "And you too, you would be a fine people were it not that you say, 'Whatever Allah wills and Muhammad wills.'" I told the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you tell it to anyone before me?" I said: "Yes, O Prophet of Allah." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood upon the pulpit and said: "Your brother has seen a dream which he has told you. Nothing but modesty prevented me from forbidding you from that. So when you speak, say: 'Whatever Allah alone wills.'"
