حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ، وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا: ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي رَزِينٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمِّي، قَالَتْ: كَانَتْ أُمُّ الْحَرِيرِ إِذَا مَاتَ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ اشْتَدَّ عَلَيْهَا، فَقِيلَ لَهَا: أُمَّ الْحَرِيرِ، مَا لَنَا نَرَاكِ إِذَا مَاتَ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ اشْتَدَّ عَلَيْكِ؟ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ مَوْلَايَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مِنِ اقْتِرَابِ السَّاعَةِ هَلَاكُ الْعَرَبِ» قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي رَزِينٍ: «وَكَانَ مَوْلَاهَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ»
The mother of Muhammad bin Abi Razin said: Umm al-Harir was such that whenever an Arab man died, it weighed heavily upon her. So it was said to her: O Umm al-Harir, what is the matter, that we see that whenever an Arab man dies it weighs heavily upon you? She said: I heard my master say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Among the signs of the nearness of the Hour is the destruction of the Arabs." Muhammad bin Abi Razin said: "And her master was Talhah bin Malik."
