Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8107 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: O Dahhak

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ الْكِلَابِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا ضَحَّاكُ، مَا طَعَامُكَ؟» قُلْتُ: اللَّحْمُ وَاللَّبَنُ، قَالَ: «ثُمَّ يَصِيرُ إِلَى مَاذَا؟» قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ يَصِيرُ إِلَى مَا قَدْ عَلِمْتَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ضَرَبَ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنِ ابْنِ آدَمَ مَثَلًا لِلدُّنْيَا»
Sayyiduna al-Dahhak bin Sufyan al-Kilabi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Dahhak, what is your food?" I said: Meat and milk. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then what does it turn into?" I said: Then it turns into what you know. At that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has made what comes out of the son of Adam a parable for this world."
