حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَعَلَّمُوا الْقُرْآنَ، فَإِنَّهُ شَافِعٌ لِأَصْحَابِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، تَعَلَّمُوا الْبَقَرَةَ، وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ، تَعَلَّمُوا الزَّهْرَاوَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَأْتِيَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَمَامَتَانِ، أَوْ غَيَايَتَانِ، أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا فَرْقَانِ مِنْ طَيْرٍ صَوَافٍّ تُجَادِلَانِ عَنْ صَاحِبِهِمَا، وَتَعَلَّمُوا الْبَقَرَةَ، فَإِنَّ تَعَلُّمَهَا بَرَكَةٌ، وَإِنَّ تَرْكَهَا لَحَسْرَةٌ، وَلَا يُطِيقُهَا الْبَطَلَةُ» يَعْنِي بِالْبَطَلَةِ: السَّحَرَةَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Learn the Qur'an, for it will intercede for its readers on the Day of Resurrection. Learn Surah al-Baqarah and Surah Al Imran; learn these two radiant surahs, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as though they were two clouds, or two canopies, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading on behalf of their reader. And learn Surah al-Baqarah, for learning it is a blessing and abandoning it is a cause of regret, and the sorcerers cannot withstand it." By "batalah" he (peace and blessings be upon him) meant sorcerers.
