حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا عَبْدَةُ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي أُمَامَةَ: حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «كَانَ حَدِيثُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ، وَيُكْثِرُ الذِّكْرَ، وَيُقَصِّرُ الْخُطْبَةَ، وَيُطِيلُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَلَا يَأْنَفْ، وَلَا يَسْتَكْبِرْ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ مَعَ الْمِسْكِينِ وَالضَّعِيفِ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنْ حَاجَتِهِ»
Abu Ghalib narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him): Narrate to us a hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: "The speech of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the Qur'an. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would remember Allah much, keep the sermon short and make the prayer long, and he felt neither disdain nor pride in going along with the poor and the weak person until his need was fulfilled."
