Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7718 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: It is not

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not lawful to sell singing slave-girls or to buy them, nor to trade in them, and their price is unlawful." And he said: "This verse was revealed about this": "And among the people is he who buys idle talk (singing and music)" [Surah Luqman: 6], until he completed the verse.
Then he said: "By the One who sent me with the truth, no man raises his voice in singing except that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, sends two devils upon him at that moment who sit on his two shoulders, then they keep striking his chest with their feet" (and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed to his own chest) "until he himself is the one who falls silent."
