حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، وإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الصَّوَّافُ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَجَّاجَ بْنَ فُرَافِصَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْهَوْزَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ، قَالَ: «الْعَارِيَةُ مُؤَدَّاةٌ» . قَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَرَأَيْتَ عَهْدَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «عَهْدُ اللهِ أَحَقُّ مَا أدِّيَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A borrowed item must be returned." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the covenant of Allah?" He said: "The covenant of Allah has the greatest right to be fulfilled."
