حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ السَّمُرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِالْمَسْجِدِ أَنْ نَصْنَعَهَا فِي دِيَارِنَا، وَنُحْسِنَ صَنْعَتَهَا وَنُطَهِّرَهَا»
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to order us concerning the mosque, that we should build it in our neighbourhoods, make its construction good, and keep it clean and pure.
