حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، ثنا دُحَيْمٌ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، نا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي خُبَيْبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْمَسَاجِدِ أَنْ نَصْنَعَهَا فِي دِيَارِنَا، وَنُصْلِحَ صَنْعَتَهَا وَنُطَهِّرَهَا»
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to order us to build mosques in our neighbourhoods, to keep their construction in good order, and to keep them clean and pure.
