حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ صُبَيْحٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَدِمْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَبِيحَةَ أَرْبَعٍ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ مُهِلِّينَ بِالْحَجِّ كُلُّنَا، فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَطُفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ، وَصَلَّيْنَا وَسَعَيْنَا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَنَا فَقَصَّرْنَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «أَحِلُّوا» , قُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ , حِلُّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ: «حِلُّ مَا يُحِلُّ الْحَلَالَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالطِّيبِ» قَالَ: فَغُشِيَتِ النِّسَاءُ، وَسَطَعَتِ الْمَجَامِرُ، قَالَ: وَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ يَقُولُ: أَينَطَلِقُ أَحَدُنَا إِلَى مِنًى وَذَكَرُهُ يَقْطُرُ مَنِيًّا؟ فَخَطَبَهُمْ , فَحَمِدَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «لَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا سُقْتُ الْهَدْيَ، وَلَوْ لَمْ أَسُقِ الْهَدْيَ حَلَقْتُ، أَلَا فَخُذُوا مَنَاسِكَكُمْ» قَالَ: فَأَقَامَ الْقَوْمُ كُلُّهُمْ , حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ، وَأَرَادُوا التَّوَجُّهَ إِلَى مِنًى أَهَلُّوا بِالْحَجِّ، قَالَ: كَانَ الْهَدْيُ عَلَى مَنْ وَجَدَ، وَالصِّيَامُ عَلَى مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ، وَأَشْرَكَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي هَدْيِهِمُ , الْجَزُورُ بَيْنَ سَبْعَةٍ , وَالْبَقَرَةُ بَيْنَ سَبْعَةٍ، وَكَانَ طَوَافُهُمْ بِالْبَيْتِ وَسَعْيُهُمْ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا , وَسَعْيًا وَاحِدًا , لِحَجِّهِمْ وَعُمْرَتِهِمْ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قِصَّةَ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: All of us arrived (in Makkah) with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in ihram for Hajj, on the morning after four days of Dhu al-Hijjah had passed. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us the order, so we performed tawaf of the House of Allah, prayed, and performed sa'i between Safa and Marwah. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us, so we had our hair trimmed. Then he said: "Come out of ihram." We said: O Messenger of Allah, come out of ihram from what? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everything that is lawful for a person not in ihram, including women and perfume." (The narrator says:) So relations with women took place, and the incense burners blazed. It reached him (peace and blessings be upon him) that some people were saying: Is one of us to go to Mina while his organ is dripping semen? So he (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed them, praised and extolled Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and then said: "Had I known beforehand what I came to know afterwards, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal (hady), and had I not brought the sacrificial animal, I would have shaved my head. Behold! Learn your rites (of Hajj)." (The narrator says:) Then all the people remained in that state until, when the Day of Tarwiyah came and they intended to set out for Mina, they entered ihram for Hajj. (The narrator says:) The sacrificial animal was due on whoever could afford it, and fasting on whoever could not, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) made them share in their sacrificial animals: one camel on behalf of seven men and one cow on behalf of seven men. And their tawaf of the House of Allah and their sa'i between Safa and Marwah were a single tawaf and a single sa'i for both their Hajj and their Umrah. (The narrator) did not mention the story of Sayyiduna Suraqah bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him).
