Sayyiduna Sabrah bin Ma'bad (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When it was the day of the Conquest of Makkah and the people had entered it, (I saw that) a man from the tribe of Qays had come to an agreement (for mut'ah) with a woman and had given her two garments. I had a more handsome face than him, and I had one garment with me. So I said to the woman: "I will give you this garment and contract mut'ah with you." So she left the man of Qays and said: "Very well." I promised her that I would come back. Then I entered the mosque and saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) there declaring it unlawful. So I went back and took my garment from her.
