Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla from his father Abu Layla (may Allah be pleased with him); al-Hakam bin Utaybah from Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6386 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: No servant

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي نَصْرٍ السَّكُونِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يُؤْمِنُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ، وَأَهْلِي أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، وَذَاتِي أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ ذَاتِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Layla (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No servant truly believes until I am dearer to him than his own self, and my family is dearer to him than his own family, and my person is dearer to him than his own person."
