حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ، وَأَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ: «أَلَا إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَرْبَعٌ» ، فَمَا أَنَا الْيَوْمَ بِأَشَحَّ مِنِّي يَوْمَ سَمِعْتُهُنُّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ، وَلَا تَزْنُوا، وَلَا تَسْرِقُوا»
Sayyiduna Salamah bin Qays al-Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that during the Farewell Hajj, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware, they are only four things" (and today I hold on to them as firmly as I did on the day I heard them from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)): "Do not associate anything with Allah, do not kill the soul that Allah has made sacred except by right, do not commit adultery, and do not steal."
