حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا ابْنُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى سَلَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى، وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ، فَقَالَ: «لَقَدْ أُوتِيَ هَذَا مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin Qays al-Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him), as a marfu' report, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was reciting the Qur'an, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This man has been given one of the melodious voices of the family of Dawud."
