Salman bin Amir al-Dabbi (may Allah be pleased with him), who lived in Basrah and died there

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا سُوَيْدٌ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أُمِّ الرَّائِحِ بِنْتِ صُلَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى الْقَرِيبِ - أَوْ قَالَ: ذِي الرَّحِمِ - صَدَقَتَانِ، وَعَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir al-Dabbi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Charity to a close relative (or he said: to a relative) is two charities, and charity to the poor is one charity."
