حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، ثنا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يَجِيءُ الرَّجُلُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ الْحَسَنَاتِ بِمَا يَظُنُّ أَنَّهُ يَنْجُو بِهَا، فَلَا يَزَالُ رَجُلٌ يَجِيءُ قَدْ ظَلَمَهُ بِمَظْلَمَةٍ، فَيُؤْخَذُ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ فَيُعْطَى الْمَظْلُومُ حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ مَنْ يَطْلُبُهُ، وَلَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ شَيْءٌ، فَيُؤْخَذُ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ الْمَظْلُومِ، فَيُوضَعُ عَلَى سَيِّئَاتِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man will come on the Day of Resurrection with so many good deeds that he thinks he will be saved by them. Then people he wronged will keep coming, one after another, and some of his good deeds will be taken and given to the wronged one, until he has no good deed left. Then someone else will come demanding his right, while nothing remains of his good deeds, so some of the evil deeds of the wronged one will be taken and placed upon his evil deeds."
