Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6041 — he came to the Prophet ﷺ with a gift

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ النَّاقِدُ، ثنا بَشَّارُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْخَفَّافُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَلْمَانُ، أَنَّهُ: «أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَدِيَّةٍ، فَأَكَلَ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ، وَأَتَاهُ بِصَدَقَةٍ فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a gift, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions ate from it; and he came to him with charity, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not eat anything of it.
