حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِيسَى، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ: «مَنْ غَسَّلَ وَاغْتَسَلَ وَبَكَّرَ، وَدَنَا فَاسْتَمَعَ، كَانَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا مِنْ بَيْتِهِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ أَجْرُ سَنَةٍ، صِيَامُهَا وَقِيَامُهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws al-Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about Friday: "Whoever has (his wife) take a ritual bath (ghusl) and takes a bath himself and goes early, and draws near and listens attentively, for every step from his house to the mosque he will have the reward of a year of fasting and standing in prayer."
