حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِيسَى، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ غَسَّلَ وَغَدَا فَابْتَكَرَ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ قَرِيبًا مِنَ الْإِمَامِ فَاسْتَمَعَ وَأَنْصَتَ، كَانَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا أَجْرُ سَنَةٍ، صِيَامُهَا وَقِيَامُهَا»
Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws al-Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has (his wife) take a ritual bath (ghusl) and goes early at the start of its time, then sits near the imam, listens attentively and remains silent, for every step he takes he will have the reward of a year of fasting and standing in prayer."
