حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، «أَنَّهُ حَضَرَ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ، وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was present on the occasion of the husband and wife who performed li'an (mutual imprecation), and that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) separated the two of them.
