Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4947 — The leg of a wild ass was gifted

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رِجْلُ حِمَارٍ، فَقَالَ: «اقْرَأْ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ وَقُلْ لَوْلَا أَنَّا حُرُمٌ لَمْ نَرُدَّهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: The leg of a wild ass was gifted to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Convey my greetings of peace to him and tell him that had we not been in ihram, we would not have returned it."
