حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِزَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ: أَمَا عَلِمَتْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَرَدَّهُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، - قَالَ حَجَّاجُ: فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ - وَقَالَ: «إِنَّا حُرُمٌ» ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him): "Do you not know that a piece of game was gifted to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in ihram, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned it?" He said: "Yes" (in the narration of Hajjaj: he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not accept it), and he said: "We are in ihram." He said: "Yes."
