Companions Whose Names Begin with Zay (ز)
الزهري، عن خارجة بن زيد، عن زيد
al-Zuhri from Kharijah bin Zayd from Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4831 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ - لَا أَدْرِي ذَكَرَ أَبَاهُ أَمْ لَا -: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا بِالتَّمْرِ وَالرُّطَبِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) (or from Kharijah without mentioning him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the sale of 'araya in exchange for dry dates and fresh dates.
