حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَجَاءَ الْأَعْرَابُ مِنْ كُلِّ نَحْوٍ حَتَّى كَثُرُوا عَلَيْهِ، وَسَكَتَ النَّاسُ، فَنَادَوْا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَنَتَدَاوَى؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَضَعْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ شِفَاءً غَيْرَ وَاحِدٍ» قَالُوا: مَا هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " الْهَرَمُ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا خَيْرُ مَا أُعْطِيَ لِلْإِنْسَانُ؟ قَالَ: " خُلُقٌ حَسَنٌ، فَنَادَوْا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلَيْنَا حَرَجٌ فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ مِمَّا يَكُونُ مِنَ النَّاسِ، قَالَ: «يَا عِبَادَ اللهِ، وَضَعَ اللهُ الْحَرَجَ إِلَّا مَنِ اقْتَرَضَ مِنْ عِرْضٍ امْرِئٍ فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي حَرِجَ وَهَلَكَ»
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when Bedouins began coming from every direction until they became very many, and the people fell silent. Then they called out: O Messenger of Allah, should we seek medical treatment? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has not placed any disease without also placing its cure, except for one." They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Old age." They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the best thing a human being has been given? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Good character." Then they called out: O Messenger of Allah, is there any harm upon us in such-and-such, among the (matters) that arise between people? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O servants of Allah, Allah has removed harm, except for the one who assails someone's honour; he is the one who has fallen into harm and is ruined."
