Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4744 — Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit told him

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، «أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا بِالرُّطَبِ أَوْ بِتَمْرٍ وَلَمْ يُرَخِّصْ فِي غَيْرِ ذَلِكَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted selling araya for fresh or dried dates, and did not permit any other form.
