Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4745 — Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit told him

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ثنا عَمِّي، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ سَالِمًا، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ أَخْبَرَهُ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا بِالرُّطَبِ وَالتَّمْرِ، وَلَمْ يُرَخِّصْ فِي غَيْرِ ذَلِكَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted selling araya for fresh and dried dates, and did not permit any other form.
