It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rakb al-Misri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Glad tidings to the one who is humble without any deficiency, who keeps himself lowly without any neediness, who spends wealth he earned without sin, who shows mercy to the lowly and the needy, and who mixes with the people of understanding (fiqh) and wisdom. Glad tidings to the one whose earnings are pure, whose inner self is sound and whose outward conduct is noble, and who holds back his evil from people. Glad tidings to the one who acts upon knowledge, spends the surplus of his wealth, and holds back the surplus of his speech."
