Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 457 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا ظَهَرَ الزِّنَا وَالرِّبَا فِي قَرْيَةٍ، فَقَدْ أَحَلُّوا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ كِتَابَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When fornication and usury (riba) appear openly in a town, they have made lawful for themselves (the punishment mentioned in) the Book of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
