Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4478 — I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying: The one

حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رُوَيْفِعَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «صَاحِبُ الْمَكْسِ فِي النَّارِ» يَعْنِي الْعَاشِرَ
Sayyiduna Ruwayfi' bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The one who takes unlawful tolls (maks) will be in the Fire", meaning the one who collects levies on the road.
