Abayah bin Rifa'ah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that a camel from the camels of charity (sadaqah) bolted. The people tried to catch it, and when they were unable to catch it, a man shot it with an arrow and killed it. They asked him (peace and blessings be upon him) about eating it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them to eat it and said: "These (camels) too have a tendency to bolt like wild animals, so when you fear this from any of them, do with it as you did with this one, then eat it."
