حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَتَّاتُ الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُكْرِي مَزَارِعًا لَهُ حَتَّى، حَدَّثَهُ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ كَرْيِ الْمَزَارِعِ» فَتَرَكَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he used to rent out his farmland until Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade renting out farmland, so Ibn Umar gave it up.
