Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4291 — Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased)

Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to rent out farmland until he learned that Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) was narrating from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he forbade it. Nafi' said: So Abdullah bin Umar went to him at al-Balat, and I was with him. He asked him, and Rafi' said: "Yes, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade renting out farmland." So Abdullah gave that up.
