Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4101 — The Prophet ﷺ sent me to Yemen and said

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَذْكُرُ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ، فَقَالَ: «مَنْ مَرَرْتَ بِهِ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ فَسَمِعْتَ فِيهِمُ الْأَذَانَ فَلَا تَعْرِضْ لَهُ، وَمَنْ لَمْ تَسْمَعْ فِيهِمُ الْأَذَانَ فَادْعُهُمْ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُجِيبُوا فَجَاهِدْهُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khalid bin Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to Yemen and said: "Whichever tribe of the Arabs you pass by and hear the call to prayer (adhan) among them, do not trouble them; and those among whom you do not hear the adhan, invite them to Islam, and if they do not accept, then fight them (in jihad)."
