حصين بن عتبة أبو عمران بن الحصين الخزاعي وقد اختلف في إسلامه قيل أسلم ويقال مات على كفره، والصحيح أنه أسلم

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ مُشْرِكًا فَقَالَ: أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا يَقْرِي الضَّيْفَ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that his father came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was a polytheist at that time. He said: What do you say about a man who honours guests?
