Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2992 — By Allah, if I wished, I could tell you

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ فُلْفُلَةَ الْجُعْفِيِّ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: «وَاللهِ لَوْ شِئْتُ لَحَدَّثْتُكُمْ أَلْفَ كَلِمَةٍ تُحِبُّونِي عَلَيْهَا أَوْ تُتَابِعُوني وَتُصَدِّقُونِي بِرًّا مِنَ اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، وَلَوْ شِئْتُ لَحَدَّثْتُكُمْ أَلْفَ كَلِمَةٍ تُبْغِضُونِي عَلَيْهَا وَتُجَانِبُونِي وَتُكَذِّبُونِي»
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: By Allah, if I wished, I could tell you a thousand things for which you would love me, or follow me and believe me, things that are righteousness from Allah and His Messenger; and if I wished, I could tell you a thousand things for which you would hate me, stay away from me and call me a liar.
