حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ التَّمَّارُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ، قَالَ: أَنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى قَبْرِ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، فَجَعَلُوا يَجُرُّونَ النَّمِرَةَ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَيَنْكَشِفُ قَدَمَاهُ، ويَجُرُّونَهَا عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ فَيَنْكَشِفُ وَجْهُهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اجْعَلُوهَا عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، وَاجْعَلُوا عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ مِنْ هَذَا الشَّجَرِ» . قَالَ: فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأْسَهُ، فَإِذَا أَصْحَابُهُ يَبْكُونَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّهُ يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَخْرُجُونَ إِلَى الْأَرْيَافِ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ، لَا يَصْبِرُ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهَا وَشِدَّتِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا أَوْ شَهِيدًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at the grave of Hamzah bin Abd al-Muttalib. The people would pull the sheet over his face and his feet would be exposed, and they would pull it over his feet and his face would be exposed. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Place it over his face, and cover his feet with some of this grass." The narrator said: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head and saw that his Companions were weeping, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A time will come upon the people when they will go out to the fertile lands, while Madinah is better for them, if only they knew. Whoever is patient with its hardship and difficulty, I will be an intercessor or a witness for him on the Day of Resurrection."
