حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَا: ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبِرَكِيُّ، ثنا عَفِيفُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، ثنا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ - لَعَنَهُ اللهُ -: لَنْ يَسْلَمَ مِنِّي صَاحِبُ الْمَالِ مِنْ إِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ، أَغْدُو عَلَيْهِ بِهِنَّ وَأَرُوحُ بِهِنَّ: أَخْذُهُ الْمَالَ مِنْ غَيْرِ حِلِّهِ، وَإِنْفَاقُهُ فِي غَيْرِ حَقِّهِ، وَأُحَبِّبُهُ إِلَيْهِ فَيَمْنَعُهُ مِنْ حَقِّهِ "
Abu Salamah bin Abd al-Rahman narrates from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Satan - may Allah curse him - said: The owner of wealth will not escape me in one of three things, which I pursue him with morning and evening: either he acquires the wealth unlawfully, or he spends it where it has no right to be spent, or I make that wealth so beloved to him that he holds back from paying what is due on it."
