حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ، ثنا آدَمُ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ مُصْعَبٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كَلَّمَ طَلْحَةُ عَامِرَ بْنَ فُهَيْرَةَ بِشَيْءٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَهْلًا يَا طَلْحَةُ، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا كَمَا شَهِدْتَهُ، وَخَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِمَوَالِيهِ»
Abu Salamah bin Abd al-Rahman narrates from his father, who said: Talhah said something (unpleasant) to Amir bin Fuhayrah, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Wait a moment, O Talhah! He too took part in Badr just as you did, and the best of you is the one who is best to his slaves."
