حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا جَنْدَلُ بْنُ وَالِقٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الطُّفَيْلِ، عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ الْفُقَيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي جَنَابٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي الْجَصَّاصُونَ، قَالُوا: " كُنَّا إِذَا خَرَجْنَا بِاللَّيْلِ إِلَى الْجَبَّانَةِ عِنْدَ مَقْتَلِ الْحُسَيْنِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، سَمِعَنَا الْجِنَّ يَنُوحُونَ عَلَيْهِ وَيَقُولُونَ:

مَسَحَ الرَّسُولُ جَبِينَهُ ... فَلَهُ بَرِيقٌ فِي الْخُدُودِ
أَبَوَاهُ مِنْ عُلْيَا قُرَيْشٍ ... جَدُّهُ خَيْرُ الْجُدُودِ "

مَسَحَ الرَّسُولُ جَبِينَهُ ... فَلَهُ بَرِيقٌ فِي الْخُدُودِ
أَبَوَاهُ مِنْ عُلْيَا قُرَيْشٍ ... جَدُّهُ خَيْرُ الْجُدُودِ "
The plasterers (jassas) narrate: Whenever we went out at night to the graveyard near the place where Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) was killed, we would hear the jinn lamenting over him and saying:
"The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over his forehead, and so there was a radiance upon his cheeks.
His parents were from the loftiest of Quraysh; his grandfather was the best of all grandfathers."
