حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ مُنْذِرٍ الثَّوْرِيِّ، قَالَ: كُنَّا إِذَا ذَكَرْنَا حُسَيْنًا وَمَنْ قُتِلَ مَعَهُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ: «قُتِلَ مَعَهُ سَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ شَابًّا، كُلُّهُمُ ارْتَكَضَ فِي رَحِمِ فَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا»
Mundhir al-Thawri said: Whenever we mentioned Husayn and those who were martyred with him, Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyyah would say: "Seventeen young men were martyred with him, all of whom had been nurtured in the womb of Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her)."
