حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ فِي النَّوْمِ كَأَنَّ رِجَالًا نَزَلُوا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَعَهُمْ حِرابٌ يَتَتَبَّعُونَ قَتَلَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَمَا لَبِثَتْ أَنْ نَزَلَ الْمُخْتَارُ فَقَتَلَهُمْ»
Al-Sha'bi said: I saw in a dream as though some men came down from the sky with spears in their hands, searching for the killers of Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him). Not much time had passed before al-Mukhtar (al-Thaqafi) appeared and killed them.
