حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا ذُؤَيْبُ بْنُ عِمَامَةَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْعَامِلُ إِذَا اسْتُعْمِلَ فَأَخَذَ الْحَقَّ وَأَعْطَى الْحَقَّ كَالْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سُبَيْلِ اللهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The official ('amil), when he is appointed and takes what is due and gives what is due, is like one who strives (mujahid) in the path of Allah until he returns to his home."
