حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَ: وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الزَّيَّاتِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ يَرِيمَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: «مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ رَأْسَهِ إِلَى عُنُقِهِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى الْحَسَنِ، وَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى مَا لَدُنْ عُنُقِهِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى الْحُسَيْنِ، اقْتَسَمَاهُ»
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever wishes to see the face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from the head to the neck, let him look at al-Hasan; and whoever wishes to see what is below the neck, let him look at al-Husayn. The two of them have divided it between themselves."
