حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ وَاضِحٍ الْعَسَّالُ الْمِصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقُولَ فِي الْوِتْرِ: «اللهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ، وَعَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ، وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ، وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ؛ إِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلَا يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ، إِنَّهُ لَا يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ، وَلَا يَعِزُّ مَنْ عَادَيْتَ، تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ»
Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me to say in the witr: "O Allah, guide me among those You have guided, grant me well-being among those You have granted well-being, take me as Your friend among those You have taken as friends, bless me in what You have given me, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed; for indeed You decree and none can decree against You. The one whom You befriend is never humiliated, and the one whom You take as an enemy is never honoured. Blessed are You and Exalted."
