Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2575 — The Prophet ﷺ was delivering a sermon

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَارِمٌ، قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، قَالَ: بَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ إِذْ صَعِدَ إِلَيْهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَضَمَّهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ ابْنِي هَذَا سَيِّدٌ، وَلَعَلَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ يُصْلِحَ بِهِ بَيْنَ فِئَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ»
Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon when Sayyiduna al-Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) climbed up to him (on the pulpit). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) embraced him and said: "This son of mine is a leader (sayyid), and perhaps Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will bring about reconciliation through him between two groups of the Muslims."
