حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: «لَمَّا قُتِلَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ مَحَا الزُّبَيْرُ اسْمَهُ مِنَ الدِّيوَانِ»
Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father; he said: When Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, al-Zubayr struck his own name off the diwan (the register of stipends).
