Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2295 — I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ، ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اشْتَرِطْ عَلَيَّ فَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِالشَّرْطِ مِنِّي ثُمَّ ابْسُطْ يَدَكَ فَأُبَايِعَكَ، قَالَ: «تَعْبُدُ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا، وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ، وَتَنْصَحُ الْمُسْلِمَ، وَتُفَارِقُ الْمُشْرِكَ»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, set the conditions for me, for you know the conditions better than I do; then stretch out your hand so that I may give you my pledge. He said: "You will worship Allah, not associating anything with Him, establish the prayer, pay the zakah, act sincerely towards the Muslim, and separate yourself from the polytheist."
